Neither the proposed Constitution Pipeline nor the Tennessee Pipeline (Kinder-Morgan) will provide natural gas to Schoharie County residents. They will instead transport gas from the fracking fields of PA (and NY if fracking is approved) to East Coast markets/ports and for foreign export. Schoharie County residents will absorb the impacts of the pipelines (risk of accidents/explosions, reduced property values, loss of property rights, etc.) and gain none of the benefits. Given the hardships Schoharie County has faced, including fatalities from a pipeline explosion, why would we invite more?

The Schoharie County Board of Supervisors has passed a resolution opposing ANY new pipelines in the county.
