The Schoharie Free Library remains open to properly-masked, socially-distanced visitors during its regular hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 11 am-6 pm; Thursday, 12 pm-7 pm; and Saturday, 10 am-2 pm. Details and community resources are at

The library has recently received dozens of new books and videos for young audiences. Come by and browse our new collections.

All our regularly scheduled programs are currently meeting online via Zoom. Here’s what we have scheduled for the coming week:

Our UFO (Unfinished Objects) Club will meet on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 10 am to share progress and tips on their craft projects. New members are always welcome to join.

Attend our Interactive Storytime with Miss Heather on Friday, February 19 at 10 am for stories, crafts, songs, and more.

The second meeting of the newly-established Young Adult Advisory Council will meet at 6 pm on Monday, Feb. 22. This week the YAAC will be considering new YA books to buy for the library’s collection.

The next meeting of our Writing Club will be at 6:30 pm on Monday, Feb. 22.

Our Knitcetera Club is scheduled to meet again at 10:30 am on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

The library is also hosting a “Using Libby/Overdrive for Audiobooks” program at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 24. Learn how to browse, download, and navigate the thousands of free, downloadable audiobooks your library card allows you to access.
