On Friday August 26, SUNY Cobleskill athletic teams pitched in to help the college’s new student class move into their residence halls as part of the Cobleskill’s 2022 Campus Move-In Day. Fighting Tiger student-athletes from: the women’s volleyball team as well as the men’s and women’s soccer teams and the men’s and women’s cross country teams helped spearhead the campus’s move in efforts for the college’s newest students.
“I personally am very glad to see our student-athletes giving back to our campus community as a part of this program especially as we come out of the pandemic,” said Fighting Tigers Athletic Director Marie Curran-Headley. “It is also gratifying to see our student-athletes interact with the incoming class who we hope will be filling the stands at athletic home events throughout the year.”
The Fighting Tigers will open the 2022-23 campaign on Thursday September 1 when the men’s soccer team hosts the Trailblazers of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex with kick-off scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and the women’s soccer team travels to Morrisville State College to meet the Mustangs in Morrisville, N.Y. at 8:00 p.m. Then on Friday September the women’s volleyball team will open play at the 2022 Greyhound Premiere Invitational hosted by Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pa. taking on Bearcats of Baruch College at 5:00 p.m. and the host Greyhounds of Moravian at 7:00 p.m. The weekend will see the men’s and women’s golf team’s host the 2022 Fighting Tiger Fall Invitational at the Cobleskill Golf & Country Club beginning at 10:00 a.m. while the men’s & women’s cross country teams will open the year at the 2022 Castleton University Invitational starting at 10:30 a.m.
