The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced today that SUNY Cobleskill sophomore Saro Karageozian, Colonie, N.Y., Colonie High School, has been named to the 2023 NAC Men’s Soccer Sportsmanship Team by the league’s coaches.
The sportsmanship team honors student-athletes in keeping with the conference's theme of "Creating an Atmosphere of Respect" for each of its sports. The establishment of the Sportsmanship Team in all sports is in concert with the league's ultimate goal to create an atmosphere that places the highest regard for exemplary behavior of all participants, coaches, administrators, fans and officials.
During the season the defender/midfielder appeared in 10 games on the season for the Fighting Tigers.
According to Cobleskill Head Coach Joe Machado, the Colonie High School alumnus is deserving of this recognition because of his work ethic and leadership ability.
“Saro is a great teammate and a very hard worker. He is respectful on and off the field and a good sportsman. As a sophomore he was a great example this fall to our large freshman class.”
