DELAWARE LEAGUE - With no league games thus far in the season, South Kortright has remained perfect at 5-0, with Charlotte Valley and Margaretville on loss out in the early season.
In non-league action Saturday, Bainbridge-Guilford defeated Roxbury 47-32. George Proctor led the Rocket scoring with 13 points and pulled down 16 boards.
Windsor defeated Walton/Downsville 53-45 in a non-league game last Friday. Nolan Barnhardt had 10 points to lead W/D and Tyler Reed added eight points.
Charlotte Valley defeated Jefferson/Stamford 72-48 last Thursday. Ezra Ontl led the scoring with 23 points and teammate Trevor Waid chimed in with another 22 points, 22 rebounds and 11 assists. For J/S Patrick Terk and Jordan Anderson each scored 12 points in double figures.
Margaretville defeated Roxbury 57-44 last Thursday. Connor Wayman led scoring with 26 points on the night and Hunter Balcom chimed in another 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ryan Sanford also added 12 points in double figures. For Roxbury, Mason Hamil was the high scorer with 17 points, including five three-pointers.
It was a close match for neighboring schools as Hunter-Tannersville squeezed by Windham 22-21 in non-league action last Thursday. Grady Glennon led the Wildcats with 10 points and Jacob Schwartz led Windham with eight points.
South Kortright defeated Gilboa 68-40 last Thursday in non-league action. Connor Quarino again led the charge for SK with 30 points on the night. Teammates Logan Reinshagen added 10 points, Jacob Staroba, eight points and Darren Dengler had six in the win. For Gilboa, Jacob Strauch scored 11 points.
SK also picked up a 58-31 non-league win over Worcester last Wednesday. Quarino scored 24 points to lead scoring, while Dengler, Reinshagen and Lance McClure added six more each.
