DELAWARE LEAGUE – The Charlotte Valley Lady Wildcats defeated non-league Franklin 44-21 on Monday, posting their third win of the week. Kailey Whitbeck poured in 17 points to lead the charge and Ella Gerster chimed in another 10 points and 16 rebounds. Jessica Zuill added eight points to the win.
Charlotte Valley tops the standings at 2-0 and 7-2 on the season.
The Lady Wildcats picked up a 51-9 league win over Roxbury on Saturday. Whitbeck again led scoring with 13 points, while teammates Brinlee Wright, Jessica Zuill and Natalie Amadon all added nine points each to the win.
On Friday, Charlotte Valley defeated Hunter 51-30. Brinlee Wright led the way with 10 points and Jessica Zuill added nine more. For H-T, Angelina Dixon scored nine points and pulled down seven rebounds. Teammate Julia Legg added seven points and nine rebounds.
Stamford/Jefferson fell to Cherry Valley-Springfield 68-53 in non-league action on Monday. McKenna Hoyt led Stamford with the gam high of 38 points and 13 rebounds.
Last Friday, Stamford/Jefferson defeated Margaretville 63-29. McKenna Hoyt poured in 21 points and pulled down 10 boards to lead scoring. She also dished off eight assists and had six steals. Tierney Turner chimed in another 17 points to the win. For Margaretville, Ana Gavette scored 14 points. It was S/J's second league win, they are now 2-1.
Gilboa/Windham defeated Roxbury in last Friday's action. Hannah Tuttle led the charge with 18 points on the night and teammate Caitlyn Ciaravino chimed in eight points and pulled down 14 rebounds. For Roxbury, Kendra Balcom had 10 points.
Walton/Downsville defeated Deposit-Hancock 65-23 last Friday.
Last Thursday, Gilboa/Windham picked up a 60-20 non-league win over Cairo-Durham. Ashtyne Hansen finished the night with 23 points on the board, while Hannah Tuttle chimed in another 19 points for the win. Caitlyn Ciaravino added eight points.
Margaretville fell to non-league Gilberstville-Mt.Upton 42-19 last Thursday. Ana Gavette led the Lady Blue Devils with 10 points.
Stamford/Jefferson fell to Worcester 39-26 in a non-league game last Thursday. McKenna Hoyt led S/J with 13 points.
South Kortright picked up a 40-30 non-league win over Laurens/Milford last Wednesday. Addy Eckert scored 14 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, while teammates Katherine Reinshagen and Carlee Dropp chimed in 10 points each.
