Charlotte Valley, SK Tied for League Lead

DELAWARE LEAGUE - The Charlotte Valley Wildcats picked up a 65-50 non-league victory over Schenevus on Monday and defeated Roxbury 57-40 last Friday to stay on top in league standings this week. A key matchup with South Kortright last Tuesday was postponed due to weather, leaving the two teams tied for first place in league standings.

Trevor Waid led the way on Monday with 26 points, 19 rebounds, six assists and six steals, while Ezra Ontl poured in another 23 points to the win.

In Friday's game, Waid scored 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds and Ontl chipped in 13 points in double figures. Mason Hamil led Roxbury scoring with a game high of 18 points. Taran Davis added another 10 points to the Rocket scoreboard.

Roxbury fell to non-league Worcester 31-26 on Monday. Hamil scored 12 points to lead the Rockets, including a trio of three-point baskets.

Gilboa got by Hunter-Tannersville 34-30 last Friday. Cody Ciaravino and Jacob Strauch each scored seven points to help the win. For H-T, Thomas Houlihan had the game high of 13 points and pulled down 10 Rebounds. His teammate, Grady Glennon added 12 points and four steals.

Gilboa-Conesville defeated Jefferson/Stamford 49-36 on Jan. 18. Ciaravino teamed up with Myles Uhalde for 10 each in the win. J/S was led by Jordan Anderson's nine points.

Roxbury defeated Windham 47-28 last Thursday.  Taran Davis led the way with 19 points and pulled down nine boards. Teammate Blake Albano added nine points and George Proctor pulled down 12 rebounds. Christian Greene led Windham with 15 points on the night.

H-T fell to non-league Hawthorne Valley 64-34 last Thursday.  Grady Glennon posted a 21-point  night and pulled down eight rebounds.

Also last Thursday, South Kortright defeated Margaretville 59-42 in a key league matchup. Connor Quarino again led scoring with 31 points for the Rams and Jacob Staroba added another 11 points. Margaretville was led by Connor Wayman's 14-point effort.

Jefferson/Stamford defeated Windham 46-32 last Wednesday. Jordan Anderson led scoring with 20 points on the night and teammates Patrick Terk and Gavin VanEtten chimed in another 10 points each in double figures. Eli Cicerone led Windham scoring with nine points.
