Coffeehouse at the Walton Theatre
Sunday, February 18, 2024
On Sunday February 18, 2024, Music on the Delaware’s Coffeehouse at the Theatre will feature Otsego County jazz musicians performing in the Kildeer Trio. The concert takes place in the Andrea Retz Paternoster room of the Walton Theatre from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and is free.
Killdeer Trio is a genre-defying band co-led by guitarist Wyatt Ambrose, bassist Evan Jagels, and drummer Sebastian Green. Their music is original, and features singable melodies, engaging group improvisations, and deep grooves. The trio blends their diverse musical interests into a cohesive sound that is accessible to all listeners. Their debut single “Converging Divergence” released on all major streaming platforms in January 2023.
Jagels and Ambrose both teach at Hartwick College, and all three have had considerable experience performing diverse music with a wide range of music colleagues.
Evan Jagels is a versatile electric and acoustic bassist who has performed with artists such as Jerry Weldon, John Stowell, Arlen Roth, and Martin Bisi. See www.evanjagelsmusic.com.
Wyatt Ambrose is a guitarist, composer, and educator based in central New York. See www.wyattambrosemusic.com. He has worked with a variety of artists including GULES, Eric Finland (Eric Krasno), and Adam Ippolito (John Lennon).
Sebastian Green has recorded, performed, and toured with a variety of successful indie artists throughout the US and beyond and is equally at home in rock, punk, jazz, experimental, and improvised music styles.
Coffeehouse concerts are free and take place on the third Sunday of the month. Desserts and coffee/tea will be available. Donations for Music on the Delaware are appreciated. This event can also be viewed by folks at home through zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84455407805.
