Written By The Mountain Eagle on 3/28/24 | 3/28/24

Bovina – Today, Sheriff Craig DuMond announced the arrest of a Bovina man on several misdemeanor charges.

On Tuesday evening, March 25th, 2024, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a criminal contempt complaint, in the Town of Bovina.

During the course of the investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies identified the suspect as Glenn C. McGuiness, age 63 of Bovina, NY.

Upon conclusion of the investigation, it was discovered that McGuiness had violated an order of protection put in place by the Bovina Town Court, by yelling obscenities at the protected party. When Deputies went to arrest McGuiness, McGuiness was non compliant and refused to cooperate with Deputies.

Deputies subsequently arrested and charged McGuiness Criminal Contempt in the second degree, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree all class A misdemeanor of the New York State Penal Law.

McGuiness was subsequently issued an appearance ticket, returnable at a later date to the Town of Bovina Court.
