Esperance Egg Hunt Set for March 24

ESPERANCE - The Village of Esperance Monday met for its monthly meeting with Mayor Royce Gage and Board of Trustees.

In a busy meeting, board members:

·       Heard that the Esperance Volunteer Fire Department announced its upcoming events with their ongoing Fish Fry Fridays, March 15 and March 22 from 5 pm to 7 pm.  Dinners are $15.00 each.  

·       Heard that on March 24 at 1:30 pm there will be an Easter Egg Hunt in the Village Park for children up to 10 years old.

·       Agreed to seek volunteers to help on its Beautification, Planning and Zoning Boards.

·       Named Venus Louise as Village Registrar as of February 2, 2024.

·       Set the public hearing for the annual budget on March 25.

·       Heard that Al Theiser was fined $1,500 for failing to secure a demolition permit within Village limits. .

·       Heard that the first round of Village sidewalk repairs is slated to begin within two weeks, starting at the Esperance Health and Wellness office, down Main Street to Church Street.
