Binghamton Woman Arrested

DELHI —  Sheriff Craig DuMond announced the arrest of a Binghamton NY woman for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. 

At around 12:00PM on Thursday afternoon April 11th, 2024, Sheriff’s Deputies were notified that 60-year-old Eva Witteman, of Binghamton NY, had driven to the Delaware County Probation Department for a scheduled meeting while her privileges to operate a motor vehicle in New York state was suspended.  

Deputies arrested and charged Witteman with Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 2nd degree and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Knowledge of being Suspended, both misdemeanors, as well as Unlicensed Operator, Unauthorized Sticker and Drivers View Obstructed, all violations in the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. 

Witteman was subsequently released on appearance tickets and directed to appear at the Town of Delhi court at a later date to answer for the charges.
