Stamford - Today, Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced that an investigation into a larceny complaint resulted in the arrest of a Stamford, New York woman.
On Tuesday afternoon, February 13th, 2024, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a larceny complaint at the Family Dollar in the Town of Stamford. During the course of the investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies identified the suspect as Ann Hammond, age 58 of Stamford, New York.
On April 8, 2024, at the conclusion of the investigation, it was discovered that Hammond, stole multiple packs of cigarettes during the course of her employment at Family Dollar. Deputies subsequently arrested and charged Hammond with one count of Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor of the New York State Penal Law.
Hammond was processed and released on an appearance ticket and was directed to appear in the Stamford Town Court at a later date.
