Charlotte Valley, H-T and Windham Pick Up Softball Wins

DELAWARE LEAGUE  – Softball action found Charlotte Valley, Hunter-Tannersville and Windham all claiming wins.

Stamford/Jefferson fell to Cherry Valley/Springfield/Sharon Springs 24-9 in non-league softball action on Tuesday. CVS/SS scored runs in all but the third inning to outdistance S/J. Three players, Lexi Dygert, Bailey Thayer and Mia Dubben all homered to help the win. Dubben helped her cause in the circle as drove in four runs. Dygert drove in two in the win and teammate Brin Whiteman went three for four behind the bat to help the cause. I. Hynes picked up the loss from the circle for S/J.

Bainbridge-Guilford defeated Charlotte Valley in a non-league softball pairing on Tuesday. For CV, Natalie Amadon scored three runs and Brinlee Wright had two RBIs.

On Monday, Charlotte Valley shutout Stamford/Jefferson 22-0 on their home diamond. Josie Butler was the winning pitcher, earning a no-hitter and striking out six S/J batters. Josie and Brinlee Wright each had four RBIs in the winning cause and Kailey Whitebeck connected on a trip. Laila Wheeler scored five runs and Amadon scored four runs.

Hunter-Tannersville edged by South Kortright 8-7 on Monday. Julia Legg picked up the pitching win, striking out 7 SK batters. Emma Constable and Aubri Stanton helped the cause with two runs each. Neleh Brown scored twice for the Lady Rams.

Windham defeated Margaretville 15-0 in league action on Monday. Hannah Tuttle earned a no-hitter, striking out 10 Margaretville batters. Catherine Coe was perfect behind the bat, going four for four on the day, which brought in four runs. Kylie Jordan added a double and triple, also driving in four runs on the afternoon
