Obituary - Francis “Frank” Policano Jr.

Francis “Frank” Policano Jr., 89, of Howell, NJ passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Brandywine Living at Howell. Frank was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. A graduate of Long Island University with a degree in Business Administration, he was a member of the US. Army Reserve, and was called up to active duty during the Berlin Crisis of 1961. Frank loved the Catskills and Hudson Valley Region of New York and lived in the area for many years. During that time he worked at Rotron Incorporated (now Ametek Rotron of Woodstock, NY) and called Palenville, Blue Mountain, Rhinebeck and Hunter Mountain home. Frank had a passion for cooking and from 1970 through 1986 he owned and ran Christy’s Restaurant on Main Street (Route 23A) in Hunter. In addition to cooking, Frank loved Theater and was a member of the Coach House Players in Kingston, NY for nearly two decades.

Frank is survived by his children, Christopher Policano, and his wife, Shannon of Sudbury, MA, and Michael Policano and his wife, Joanne of Marlboro; and his grandchildren, Ava, Nolan, Lianna, Aidan, Sofia, and Logan.
