Windham, Charlotte Valley Top Softball Standings

DELAWARE LEAGUE  – Windham and Charlotte Valley topped the league standings this week, Windham picking up three wins over the week, while Charlotte Valley picked up a single win.

The Windham Lady Warriors defeated the South Kortright Lady Rams 16-3 on Tuesday to pick a league victory. Hannah Tuttle picked up the win, striking out 16 SK batters. Ashtyn Hansen helps offensively with four hits, including a homer. Tuttle, Piper Cohane and Catherine Coe all connected on doubles for the cause. For SK, Neleh Brown struck out seven Windham batters.

Gilboa/Roxbury handed SK a 23-4 loss on Monday. Caitlyn Ciaravino led the win with a trio of hits, including a triple. Olivia Ross added a pair of hits and a triple to the cause. In the circle, Bryanna Meehan got the win, striking out four SK batters. Neleh Brown struck out five G/R batters in the loss.

Hunter-Tannersville defeated Margaretville 25-13 in league action on Monday. Saleema Poladian had a good day behind the bat, with four hits, four runs and two RBI. Julia Legg added a pair of triples to her cause as she struck out 15 from the circle. Angelina Dixon also tripled for  H-T. Margaretville's Livia Fronckowiak had a pair of singles.

Windham defeated non-league Laurens/ Milford 21-8 on Saturday to win the annual Windham Tournament. Ashtyn Hansen connected on four hits and scored five runs to lead the cause, while Hannah Tuttle struck out 12 batters for the win.

Windham also defeated South Kortright 23-5 in the opening game. Hansen scored five runs and had five hits, including a pair of homers for seven RBI to lead the offense. Megan Carroll picked up the pitching win and helped her cause with five hits and fiveRBI.

SK fell 16-0 to Laurens/Milford in the opening round of the same robin tournament to finish  0-2 on the day, with L/M finishing at 1-1.

Gilboa/Roxbury picked up a 20-17 non-league win over Worcester on Saturday. Caitlyn Ciaravino and Bailey Hughes led the cause with three runs each. Olivia Ross added a double and scored a pair of runs in the win.

Charlotte Valley defeated non-league Harpursville12-2 on Saturday. Brinlee Wright drove in five runs to help her cause in the circle where she struck out 10 batters. Natalie Amadon added four runs to the win and Kailey Whitbeck contributed a pair of hits and two runs.

Gilboa/Roxbury defeated non-league Franklin 23-4 last Friday in a game-shortened five innings. G/R scored seven runs in the opening inning to go on for the win. Bailey Hughes had a pair of hits, including a triple, to finish with four RBI and Olivia Ross chimed in with a pair of RBI.

On Saturday, they defeated non-league Worcester 20-17. Hughes and Ciaravino each scored three runs in the victory and Ross doubled and scored a pair of runs.

Schenevus defeated Stamford/Jefferson 24-3 last Wednesday. Nadia Hopkins picked up a no-hitter in the win.

Edmeston/Morris edged Gilboa/Roxbury 20-19 last Wednesday. E/M scored the winning run on a steal to home plate. G/R had 13 players add to the score in a close, non-league game.
