Delaware County is proud to announce the election of Delaware County Probation Director, Scott Glueckert, to the position of Area Representative for the State of New York to serve the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA). In this newly elected role Director Glueckert will represent the interests of New York Probation Officers and Parole Officers and contribute to the development of policy and probation practices nationally. The APPA serves as the field’s leading professional membership association. Their work is supported by thousands of dedicated members throughout the United States, Canada and other countries actively involved in strengthening community corrections work.
Director Glueckert is currently an active member of the New York State Council of Probation Administrators where he has previously held the titles of Treasurer, Vice-President and President within the organization. Director Glueckert will be serving a two-year term as Area Representative and is looking forward to collaborating with probation professionals across the country to enhance community supervision.
The Delaware County Board of Supervisors congratulates Director Glueckert in receiving this honor and we are extremely proud of his accomplishments. He has served Delaware County with the same professionalism, fairness and respect that earned him this position and we know he will do great things in his capacity as Area Representative.
