DELHI — Sheriff Craig S. Dumond announced the arrest of two Delaware County Correctional Facility inmates on assault charges.
On August 1st, 2024, Investigators with the Delaware County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigation Division received a complaint from the Correctional Facility of a fight that occurred between two inmates, which resulted in injuries to one of the involved parties. Information provided at the time of the report indicated that the fight took place within a housing unit, located inside of the Correctional Facility. Investigators say that two inmates engaged in a physical altercation following a verbal argument.
On August 9th, 2024, at the conclusion of their Investigation, Investigators arrested 22-year-old Dakota Mann on one count Assault in the Second Degree within a Correctional Facility, a Class D Felony, in violation of NYS Penal Law, additionally, 31-year-old Timothy Reiche was charged with one count Attempted Assault in the Second Degree within a Correctional Facility, a Class E Felony, in violation of NYS Penal Law.
Mann and Reiche were both arraigned at the Delaware County Centralized Arraignment Court and were remanded back to the custody of Correctional Facility on other unrelated charges.
