WESTERN CATSKILLS COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION COUNCIL ENTREPRENEURSHIP BOOT CAMP

Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council, Inc. (WCCRC) is holding a two-day intensive  Entrepreneurship Boot Camp, Monday and Tuesday, October 21 and 22, 2024 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm  at MTC Conference Center, 61 Academy Street, Margaretville, NY 12455. The event is free, but  advance registration is required. The program is partly funded by the A. Lindsay and Olive B. O’Connor  Foundation.  

The Entrepreneurship Boot Camp will host ten workshops covering a variety of business topics such  as marketing and branding, bookkeeping and accounting, insurance and risk management, how to  form a business, how to write a business plan, and how to get certified as a MWBE owned business.  In addition, the event will host two panel discussions, one on funding, and the other one on  mentorship, as well as a keynote address “Business on Catskills Time” delivered by visionary  technologist Alex Waters. Presenters include award-winning business advisor Sam Kandel, Small  Business Development Center; Amanda Brennan, VP of Certification and Victoria Sawall, Senior  Certification Analyst from Empire State Development Division of Minority and Women’s Business  Development; Barbara Puglisi, Economic Development Director, Catskill Watershed Corporation;  Lindsay Whitbeck, Delaware County Economic Development; James Hannahs, Greene County  Economic Development; Julie Pacatte, Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corporation; Margaret  Ellsworth, MARK Project; Kyle Liner, Wayne Bank; Anique Morrison, Krystin Woodcock and Sean  Land, NBT Bank; business lawyer Nicholas J. Frandsen; financial analyst Mary Melia; branding  expert Eva Green; entrepreneur Mercedes Gonzalez; Ray Pucci, Delaware County Chamber of 

Commerce; HUD certified counselor Eileen Knott; as well as insurance agents from NBT Insurance  and Hughson & Benson Insurance.
