SHARON SPRINGS — Six members of the Sharon Springs Central School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter attended a Regional Competition and Conference at Bryant and Stratton College in Albany on February 7th and came home winners!
SSCS Junior Ava Jump, who serves as FBLA District 4 Vice President, organized the competitions and helped plan and run this winter meeting. Other schools competing, along with SSCS, included Shenendehowa, Cobleskill-Richmondville, Broadalbin-Perth and Middleburgh.
The conference gave FBLA students the opportunity to experience various workshops and networking opportunities and compete against one another.
Other SSCS participants included Yasmin Issa, Kaylee Crewell, Clayton Van Patten, Devin Tissiere and Madison Lynk. SSCS captured the following awards: Yasmin Issa - First place in Public Speaking Devin Tissiere - First place in Impromptu Speaking Kaylee Crewell - Second place in Introduction to Decision Making
Clayton Van Patten - Fifth place in Client Services
Each of these students, along with several other SSCS FBLA members, will be competing at the annual FBLA New York State Conference in Rochester in April.
