DELAWARE LEAGUE – South Kortright/Andes defeated Charlotte Valley 63-33 in a league clash last Friday which clinched first place in Delaware League standings at 4-0. Caitlyn Deysenroth led the way with 22 points and nine rebounds, while Addy Eckert chimed in with 21 points. For Charlotte Valley, Brinlee Wright scored 15 points on the night and teammate Ella Gerster added six more.
There are just a few regular season games remaining before Delaware League playoffs are set to begin Feb. 12 with the championship game set for Feb. 20 at SUNY Delhi.
The Stamford/Jefferson girls defeated Hunter-Tannersville 63-42 for a league win last Friday. They finished league play at 4-1. McKenna Hoyt led scoring with 29 points on the night and pulled down 13 rebounds in the win. Gabby Stannard added another 12 points in double figures, as she connected on a trio of three-point baskets. H-T was led by Angelina Dixon's 14-point effort. She also pulled down five rebounds and teammate Lily Constable pulled down seven rebounds.
In a non-league game last Saturday, Cherry Valley-Springfield defeated Gilboa/Roxbury 41-20. Jacey O'Donnell led GCR with eight points and Caitlyn Ciaravino added six points.
The two teams were rematched on Monday, with CVS taking home a 73-32 win over GCR. Jacey O'Donnell again led GCR scoring with 10 points and Ciaravino added12 rebounds.
Hunter-Tannersville took a 70-37 non-league win over Cairo-Durham on Monday. Lily Constable pumped in 29 points as she connected on five baskets from three-point land. Julia Legg chimed in another 18 points and Saleema Poladian added seven points.
