RENSSELAERVILLE - The Poetics of Trees will be presented at the Huyck Preserve and Biological Research Center on Saturday, March 22 from 1-2:30.
Meet at the Eldridge Research Center at 284 Pond Hill Road, Rensselaerville.
Join them for the return of arborist and award-winning author, William Logan. According to Bill, “Trees are neither inanimate nor stationary. They are constantly creating and recreating themselves. Trees respond moment to moment, year to year, century to century to the world around them.” Follow Bill on a walk through the forest to see the trees from this poetic perspective.
This hike will leave from the Eldridge Research Center and take the Ordway and Wheeler Watson Trails. Please come dressed appropriately with sturdy footwear.
Registration is required. This event will be capped at 20 people.
Suggested donation: $5 non-members; members free.
The Huyck Preserve is now enrolling Summer Education Programs.
We may be in the midst of a cold mid-winter week, but now is a great time to make plans for summer. The Huyck Preserve's summer education programs get K-12 students outside, harnessing their curiosity through science-based lessons, fun activities, and exploration of their beautiful land and water.
Programs are already filling.
Register now to ensure your child's spot.
