Gilboa-Conesville/Roxbury Holds the Top Spot in DL Standings

DELAWARE LEAGUE – Gilboa-Conesville/Roxbury picked up a key league win over South Kortright/Andes last week to move into the top of the standings in Delaware League play that has been working around a lot of raindrops. Three teams now have a single league loss, keeping things tight.

Margaretville defeated Cherry Valley-Springfield/Sharon Springs 8-3 April 30 in a non-league pairing. Chris Hull struck out eight batters to pick up the pitching win. Teammate CJ Fairbairn connected on four hits and drove in three runs, while Hunter Balcom added three hits and two RBI.

Gilboa/Roxbury defeated Laurens/Milford 11-1 on April 30 in a shortened five -inning non-league game. Gavin Bohringer had a trio of hits including a pair of doubles, to bring in four RBI. Garrison Ross and Brayden Carr each connected on a pair of hits. Dave Cammer added a triple and Jordan Johnston doubled in the win. Ross picked up the pitching win striking out six in relief.

South Kortright/Andes defeated Margaretville 25-8 in a non-league game last Thursday. Logan Reinshagen and JB Trimbell each had a trio of hits and Jackson Hudson connected on a double. Garrett Dropp picked up the pitching win.CJ Fairbairn and Hunter Balcom each connected on doubles for Margaretville.

Last Friday, Gilboa/Roxbury defeated South Kortright/Andes 6-2 in a key league pairing. David Cammer and Garrison Ross combined to give up just two hits on the day. Cammer struck out 10 and Ross helped the cause with a pair of hits including a double for one RBI. Gavin Bohringer hit three singles. For SK/A, Logan Reinshagen and Cole Thomas combined to strike out 16 batters.
