DELAWARE LEAGUE – Margaretville, Hunter and Charlotte Valley/Schenevus were all undefeated in league play at the beginning of the week.
Delhi blasted Gilboa/Roxbury 10-1 in a non-league game on Monday. Eliza Cook and Tyler Abts each scored a hat trick and each had an assist to lead the charge. Luciane Smith, Kelsea Small, Chloe Finn and Jaylynn Prisco added single goals to the win. For GCR, Quinnci Olmstead scored the lone goal.
Stamford/Jefferson shutout Gilbertsville/Mt. Upton in a non-league game under the lights at Archibald Field in Stamford on Monday. Abigail Villanueva scored a hat trick in the win and added an assist. Emily Snyder chipped in two goals and one assist and Emily Eklund had one goal and one assist. Tierney Turner and Rose Bevilaqua also scored.
Rockland defeated Margaretville 4-1 in a non-league contest on Monday. Savannah Montiminy scored off an assist from Maria Colberg to put the Lady Blue Devils on the board.
Franklin defeated Charlotte Valley/Schenevus 2-1 on Monday in a non-league meeting. Shannon Kingsbury scored two goals for the Lady Purple Devils and was helped by single goals from teammates Irene Cox, Ivana Svecharnik and Peyton Woodard all had assists. For CVS, Jordan Odell scored on a penalty kick.
Charlotte Valley/Schenevus picked up a 2-1 win over Windham in league action. Jordan Odell scored on a penalty kick and a miscue by WAJ added the insurance goal. Hannah Tuttle scored Windham's goal.
South Kortright/Andes handed Hunter-Tannersville a 6-0 league loss on Tuesday. Madysen Reeves scored a hat trick plus one assist to lead the charge, Nora Trimbell added a pair of goals and one assist and Lily Marigliano scored on goal and had an assist. Carlee Dropp and Annlyse Haynes also had assists in the win.
Franklin defeated Gilboa/Roxbury 6-1 in a non-league game on Tuesday. Shannon Kingsbury scored four goals and an assist to again lead the charge. Irene Cox added a goal and Ivana Svecharnik had one assist. For GCR, Quincci Olmstead scored the lone goal on an assist from Ava Poniros.
In action Saturday, Charlotte Valley/Schenevus defeated Worcester 10 -1 to advance to the championship round of their own Chic Walshe Soccer Tournament. Jordan Odell and Carleigh Reed each struck for a hat trick, with Brinlee Wright adding one goal and one assist. Schuyler Maynard, Addison Scott and Jaiden Wheeler added single goals. Rhianna Mace and Lexi Keator each had assists. The lone goal for Worcester came off the foot of Azaleah Lorette.
Milford shutout South Kortright/Andes 2-0 in the other girls opening round game to advance to play the host team in the championship game this Saturday.
Last Thursday, CV/S shutout H-T 8-0 for a non-league win. Odell scored 2 goals and added 2 assists, Carleigh Reed also scored a pair of goals. Teammates Hayden Marino, Lexi Keator, Brinlee Wright and Sienna Landis contributed single goals, while Annie Gallagher had an assist.
