Written By The Mountain Eagle on 10/3/25 | 10/3/25

DELHI — On Sunday September 21st the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office hosted our NYS Sheriffs’ Week celebratory Open House Event, and it was a resounding success, thanks in part to the beautiful sunny day we had.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to the members of the public who attended the event and demonstrated their kindness and support of our agency.  We thoroughly enjoyed meeting and interacting with everyone and had an absolute blast showcasing our personnel and operations.

A special acknowledgement is due to our many talented and dedicated agency members who helped set up, ran their demonstrations/tables, gave tours, grilled the food, made desserts and helped with the breakdown at the end. You are all simply THE BEST!!

We also express our sincere appreciation to Delaware County Public Health - Programs Manager Heather Warner for providing a team of car seat technicians to manage the Car Safety Seat Event and to Delaware County Emergency Services -911 Supervisor Mark Rossley for his assistance with setup, development and delivery of the 911 Center demonstration, and for manning the Delaware County Incident Command Trailer, providing valuable information to the attendees regarding its purpose.

Lastly, we extend our gratitude to our dedicated Deputies who ensured the safety of our county, handling calls throughout the day, enabling the rest of us to engage with the public.
