HARPERSFIELD — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced that an Oneonta resident is facing the charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 3rd degree following a traffic stop.
On the afternoon of December 9th, 2025, a Sheriff’s Deputy was on patrol in the Town of Harpersfield when the Deputy observed a vehicle speeding on State Highway 23. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, and the driver was identified as 26-year-old Christopher Solanopinot, of Oneonta, NY.
Following an inquiry with the NYS DMV, it was found that Solanopinot’s driving privileges in NYS were revoked. Solanopinot was subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 3rd degree, a misdemeanor of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law and additionally, Solanopinot was issued traffic summonses for Unlicensed Operator and Speeding in a 55 MPH zone, both violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Solanopinot was released on an appearance ticket and the traffic summonses and was directed to appear in the Town of Harpersfield Court at a later date, to answer the charges.
