DELHI – On Thursday afternoon, May 23rd, 2024, Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Delhi man on charges stemming from an Assault Complaint that occurred in the Town of Delhi.
On May 23rd, 2024, at approximately 2:45 PM, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an Assault Complaint in the Town of Delhi.
Further investigation of the incident revealed that 30-year-old Michael P. Stein of Delhi NY, had struck another individual in the head with a baseball bat after a verbal altercation.
Deputies subsequently arrested and charged Michael Stein JR with one count of Assault in the Second Degree, a class D Felony, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, all Class A Misdemeanors in the New York State Penal Law.
Stein was transported to Delaware County Centralized Arraignment where he was held and later remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash, $50,000 secured bond.
