Fight Leads to Hypodermic Needle Arrest in Hobart

On August 5th , 2017 Delaware County Sheriff Deputies responded to a
911 call of a fight in progress on Main Street in the Village of Hobart.
Upon conclusion of the investigation, deputies arrested 23 year old
Michael Stein of Delhi, for Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic
Instrument and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. Stein was
arraigned in the Town of Stamford Court where he was remanded to
the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash or $5,000
secured bond.

At 12:45 a.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Charles H. Hotaling, III, 25 of Cobleskill, NY, for Criminal Contempt 2nd and Criminal Contempt 1st.  He was arraigned in Cobleskill Town Court and he was remanded to the Schoharie County Jail on $1000 Bail / $3000 Bond. He is to return to Cobleskill Town Court on June 13th at 5:00 p.m.

At 12:55 a.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Savanna Jo Hotaling, 25, of Cobleskill, NY, for Criminal Contempt 2nd.  She was arraigned in Cobleskill Town Court and remanded to the Schoharie County Jail on $1000 Bail / $3000 Bond.  She is to return to Cobleskill Town Court on June 13th at 5:00 p.m.

At 5:06 p.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Jenny L. Largesse, 27, of Cobleskill, NY, for Open Container.  She was issued an appearance ticket and released.  She it appear in Cobleskill Town Court July 20th at 10:00 a.m.

At 7:02 Cobleskill Police arrested Catherine Lushkevich, 53, of Cobleskill, NY, for Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  She was issued an appearance ticket and released.  She is to appear in Cobleskill Town Court on June 20th at 4:00 p.m.

Middleburgh Woman Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Husband

On May 20th, 2017 Schoharie County Sheriff's Deputies were called to a residence in the Town of Middleburgh for a report of a man who had been stabbed.

Upon law enforcement's arrival they located a man in his residence suffering from a single stab wound to his chest.

The suspect was identified as being a 36 year old Kelly Wescott, the wife of the victim. Mrs. Wescott was taken into custody without incident a short time later.

Mrs. Wescott was arrested for Assault in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Mrs. Wescott was arraigned in the Town of Wright Court where she was remanded to jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 secured bond. Mrs. Wescott was scheduled to return to the Town of Middleburgh Court on 5/24/2017 at 5pm.

The Victim was transported ambulance to Albany Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery, and is expected to make a full recovery. // The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the New York State Police.

Seward Woman Arrested for Oxycodone

On Thursday April 27th the Schoharie Sheriff's Office arrested Michelle L. Brown age 34 of the Town of Seward for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Introducing Contraband into a Prison 2nd degree.

Subject was being committed to the custody of the Sheriff's Office when Corrections Officer found that she had in her possession Oxycodone and Tramadol.

Subject was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Schoharie Village on May 8th. She was then was committed to the Albany County Correctional Facility on the order of County Drug Court from a previous incident

At 1:41 a.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Dylan G. Hendrick, 21, of Rensselaer, NY, for Trespass.  He was issued an appearance ticket and released.  He is to appear in Cobleskill Town Court on April 11th at 5:00 p.m.

At 2:25 a.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Keith Craig, 36, of Cobleskill, NY, for Disorderly Conduct.  He was issued an appearance ticket and released.. He is to return to Cobleskill Town Court on April 25th at 5:00 p.m.

At 3:15 p.m. Cobleskill Police arrested John T. Rundblad, 24, of Worcester, NY, for Grand Larceny 4th and Petit Larceny.  He was arraigned in Cobleskill Town Court and released.  He is to return to Cobleskill Town Court on March 28th at 5:00 p.m.

At 6:34 p.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Jonathan M. Winnie, 25, of Sharon Springs, NY, for Disorderly Conduct.  He was released and is to appear in Cobleskill Town Court on March 28th at 5:00 p.m.

At 9:34 a.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Daniel St. Louis, 33, of Schoharie, NY, for Forcible Touching.  He was arraigned in Cobleskill Town Court and released.  He is to return to Cobleskill Town Court on April 11th at 5:00 p.m.

At 11:28 a.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Samantha Medico, 28, of Summit, NY, for a Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear.  She was arraigned in Cobleskill Town Court and released after paying $250 Bail.  She is to return to Cobleskill Town Court on April 4th at 5:00 p.m.

Man Arrested for DWI in Walton

On Sunday March 26 th 2017 at about 12:56am Delaware County Sheriff

Deputies arrested 42 year old John A. Radomski Jr of Dobbs Ferry New

York, on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood

alcohol content of .08% or greater, both unclassified misdemeanors.

Redomski was additionally charged with speed not reasonable and prudent,

unsafe lane change, and was later released on Tickets returnable to Walton

Town Court at a later date.

NYC Man Arrested for DWAI Drugs in Delhi

On Saturday March 25 th 2017 at about 12:32am, Delaware County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested 19 year old Max T Spangenthal of Manhattan New York,

for driving while ability impaired by drugs following a traffic stop in the

Village of Delhi. Spangenthal was additionally charged with failure to dim

headlights, signaling less than 100 feet, and unsafe backing. After arrest

processing the defendant was released on tickets returnable to Delhi Town

Court at a later date.

Hamden Woman Arrested for Petit Larceny

On March 25th, 2017, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Hannah M. Sage 21 years old of Hamden, New York for the Misdemeanor Offense of Petit Larceny. It is alleged that over a period of time the defendant stole and consumed medication belonging to a family member.  She was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket directing her to appear in the Town of Hamden Court to answer the charges.

Minor Arrested for Assault at Kortright Leadership Academy

On Friday March 17 th 2017 at about 3:47am, Delaware County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested a sixteen year old resident of the Youth leadership

Academy in Kortright, for assault in the third degree. Deputies allege the

defendant intentionally caused a Youth Leadership Academy employee to

sustain physical injury by striking the employee repeatedly during a large

altercation at the Youth Leadership Academy Facility. The youth was later

arraigned in front of Judge Lamport at Stamford Town Court and was

remanded to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of $2000 bail.

At 2:20 p.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Robert Garreau, 20, of Cobleskill, NY, for Criminal Contempt 1st, Criminal Mischief 3rd, Assault 3rd, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Attempted Assault3rd.  He was arraigned in Cobleskill Town Court and remanded to the Schoharie County Jail on $2000 Bail / $6000 Bond.  He is to return to Cobleskill Town Court on March 14th at 5:00 p.m.

At 5:20 p.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Antonia Barrone, 48, of Albany, NY, for Petit Larceny.  She was arraigned in Cobleskill Town Court and released.

At 2:09 a.m. Cobleskill Police arrested David E. Soura, 23, of Summit, NY, for DWI and other vehicle and traffic tickets.  He was released and is to appear in Cobleskill Town Court on March 21st at 5:00 p.m.

At 4:05 p.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Drew Taylor, 20, of Cobleskill, NY, for Violation of Probation Warrant.  He was transported and turned over to the Schoharie County Jail.

At 8:45 p.m. Cobleskill Police arrested Kristen L. Jones, 23, of Lawyersville, NY, for DWI and other vehicle and traffic tickets.  She was released and is to appear in Cobleskill Town Court on March 28th at 5:00 p.m.

Akrville Woman Arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child

On Saturday March 4th 2017 at about 5:45pm, Delaware County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested 35 year old Amanda M. Petry, of Arkville New York, on

one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies allege the

defendant engaged in a physical domestic dispute with another person while

in a moving vehicle, and at the time of the physical altercation two children

less than 17 years of age were present inside the vehicle. Petry was issued

and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Andes Town Court at a

later date.

Youth Arrested for Assault

On Thursday, March 5, 2017 Delaware County Deputies arrested a 16 year old youth

currently confined to the Youth Leadership Academy in South Kortright, NY for Assault

in the Third Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor under New York State Penal Law. The

arrest was a result of an alleged assault on a staff member on Friday March 3 rd . The

youth was arraigned in the Town of Stamford Court and sent to the Delaware County

Correction Facility on $1500 cash bail. He is to return to the Town of Kortright Court on

Tuesday March 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM.

Arkville Man Arrested for Endangering Welfare of a Child

On Thursday February 23 rd 2017 at about 7:51pm, Delaware County

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 44 year old Isreal L. Rivera, of Arkville New

York, on one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies allege

the defendant engaged in a physical domestic dispute with another person

while in a moving vehicle, and at the time of the physical altercation two

children less than 17 years of age were present inside the vehicle. Rivera

was later arraigned in front of Judge Gockel at Roxbury Town Court and

was remanded to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.

Stamford Man Arrested After Assault

On Wednesday March 1 st 2017 at about 7:30pm, Delaware County Sheriff

Deputies arrested 35 year old Brian T. Bennett of Stamford New York, on an

arrest warrant issued by Stamford Town Court for count of criminal mischief

in the fourth degree. Deputies say this arrest is a result of an investigation

into a report of an assault in the parking lot of Vasta’s restaurant on January

19 th of 2017. Investigation revealed that as the defendant was attempting to

assault Stamford Firemen on the scene, the defendant recklessly damaged

the windshield of a Stamford Fireman’s personal pickup truck in an amount

exceeding $250 dollars. Following arraignment the defendant was remanded

back to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of $10,000 in connection with

charges stemming from the original incident.

Couple Jailed For Rape, Sexual Abuse

SIDNEY - A Sidney couple is facing felony sex charges following investigation into a child pornography complaint.

 The investigation revealed Justin D. Crandall, 28, of Sidney had sent sexually explicit photographs of a young child to another person. Crandall was arrested Feb. 11 and charged with first degree rape, class B felony, promoting sexual performance by a child less than 17years old, a class D felony, endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanor.  Crandall was arraigned in Sidney Village Courtwhere he was remanded to the Delaware County Jail.

On Feb. 13.New York State Police at Sidney also arrested Jessica L. Crandall,e 27, the wife of Justin D. Crandall, of Sidney, for the charges of first degree criminal sex act, a class B felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

The investigation revealed Jessica Crandall had also sexually abused a child less than 11-years-old. She was arraigned in Sidney Village Court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail.
The Village of Sidney Police Department assisted throughout the three day investigation.

Meredith Man Arrested for Child Endangerment

On February 9th , 2017, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Korey B.

Fisher 18 years old of Meredith NY, following an investigation into a NYS child

abuse Hotline referral. It is alleged that Fisher provided two 15 year old children

with marijuana, smoking marijuana with the children and then driving both

students to Delaware Academy in Delhi.


Fisher is charged with two Misdemeanor counts of Endangering the Welfare of a

child. He was processed and released on an appearance ticket directing him to

appear in the Town of Meredith Court at a later date to answer the charges.

Stamford Man Charged With DWI After Dropping Child Off At School

Brenten R. Bryan, 37, of Stamford, was charged Feb. 6 under Leandra’s law after state police stopped him along state Route 10 in the town of Stamford.

He is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger less than 16 years old (Leandra’s law), the misdemeanor of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a B.A.C. result of .24 percent and other traffic violations.

The arrest occurred after Bryan was observed speeding and then pulling into the South Kortright Central School parking lot on state Route 10 at 8:35 a.m., according to the release.  The trooper waited down the street and conducted a traffic stop just after the vehicle left the school.  An investigation determined that the Bryan was driving while highly intoxicated and had just let a child less than 16 years old off at the school.
He was issued tickets to appear in Kortright Town Court on Feb 21.

Cobleskill Woman Arrested for Alleged Animal Cruelty, Horse Put Down

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department, Kalie Petrone, 19, was arrested on charges of animal cruelty. The Cobleskill resident allegedly did not feed or provide water for her horses. The arrest press release states that Petrone did not provide food or water for a period of 48 hours. She was arrested last Friday and issued an appearance ticket for February 23rd at the Charleston Town Court.

According to officials, the horse was brought to a veternarian but needed to be euthanized Saturday.
